Enver Pekin
Managing Director


Enver Pekin is a Member of the Board and the Managing Director of PGI. With his in-depth professional experience in senior management and diverse career in financial/commercial functions and consulting work, PGI is well equipped for delivering top quality services to its clients.

 

Enver joined Koç Group, in 1973, as a marketing specialist in Aygaz, a leading LPG and durable consumer goods company in Turkey. In 1977, he joined Unilever, a multi-national, fast moving consumer goods company, where he built a 25-year long career and held several management positions at company, country and international levels. In 1987, he was appointed as a senior manager of Unilever. Before founding his consultancy business, Enver was the financial officer of Unilever's businesses in Turkey and Southern CIS regions.

Provides senior level consultancy services in strategic planning, resource re-planning, organisational re-design, shared services, legal/financial/tax re-engineering, debt/equity management, interest rate/forex exposure management and use of technology tools to medium/large sized companies and in professionalising family businesses. Managing Partner of Tureks since 2002 and of PGI since 2004.

Financial Officer - Unilever (Turkey and Southern CIS Countries)

 

Responsible for financial strategy of the Region ($ 1 billion p.a. turnover), treasury and tax management, accounting, mergers & acquisitions, insurance, pensions. Member of the Companies' Boards.

National Finance Director - Unilever (Turkey)

 

Responsible for financial strategy of the Country, treasury and tax management, legal management, corporate secretariat, insurance and pensions. Member of the Unilever Holding Board.

Corporate Finance Manager - Unilever (Corporate Centre, London, UK)

 

Responsible for financial strategy, corporate finance and banking relations of Latin America and South Asia Regions. Gained and demonstrated skills to be a leading-edge in global finance and treasury fields.

Commercial Director, Foods - Unilever (Turkey)

 

Responsible for commercial and financial strategy of Unilever's combined Foods Businesses ($ 800 million p.a. turnover), local and international buying, logistics, planning, export business, accounting and information technology. Member of the Country Foods Executive Board.

Business Unit Commercial Manager - Unilever (Turkey)

 

Responsible for accounting, buying, planning, distribution and information technology of Business Units (G&A Baker Ltd-home and personal care, Dosan A.S.-canned vegetables and culinary, Unilever A.S.-oils and fats).

Management and Cost Accounting Manager - Unilever (Turkey)

 

Responsible for preparing annual operating plans, long term plans, management reporting, budgeting and budgetary control, product costing and pricing of Lever A.Ş.-home care business unit.

Marketing Specialist - Koç Group (Turkey)

 

Assisted V.P. Marketing of Aygaz A.Ş. in developing marketing strategy, marketing, sales and logistics planning and market development fields.

Enver has spoken at and developed numerous international conferences and seminars (i.e. in the USA, Argentina, Brazil, India, Ivory Coast, the U.K., the Netherlands, Turkey) on financial planning, change management, organisational re-design, process re-design, legal/financial re-engineering, post-tax debt/equity portfolio management for shareholder value, foreign exchange exposure, treasury and tax management.

Enver had his secondary education at American High School in Tarsus. In 1973, he graduated from Middle East Technical University in Ankara with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, major in Industrial Management, and in 1975 from Boğaziçi University in Istanbul with a Master of Arts Degree in Business Administration, major in Marketing. Enver was born in 1950, married with a daughter and a son. He speaks Turkish (native), English (fluent) and Slovak (beginner). He holds citizenships of Turkey and Slovakia.

Can Inan
Customer Management Director


Can Inan founded PGI Funds Consultancy Limited, together with his partners, to extend his current business into the fascinating world of finance. Can is a Member of the Board and the Customer Management Director of PGI. With his strong competencies in human relations, networking, his business principles, and his skills in risk management, he gives assurance to the PGI team in outpacing its mission.

 

Can has been working in the insurance sector since he joined Inan Insurance Services Limited, a successful family owned insurance agency, in 1980. As a member of the team, he developed his skills on-the-job, in the fields of insurance administration, risk management, customer management and market development. In 1995, he took over the management of the company, being a member of the second generation of the family.

 

Can, the Owner and the Managing Director of the renamed Can Inan Insurance Services Limited, has sustained the profitable growth of the company with a strong portfolio of international and local insurance companies and clients.

 

Can studied at All Saints American University, Washington DC, USA and obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Insurance in 2002. He was born in 1964, married with two sons. He speaks Turkish (native) and English (fluent).


 Ö.Faruk Karabucak
Financial Analyst / Banking Relations Officer


Faruk Karabucak joined PGI as the Financial Analyst and the Banking Relations Officer in 2005. With his background in business administration and finance combined with his strong analytical power and interpersonal skills, Faruk has the means for adding substantial value to PGI’s efforts in promoting the international funds.  

 

Faruk advises and assists our clients in performing the feasibility studies and the documentation for a financing proposal, appraises the ability of the cash flows to compensate adequately all sources of capital, and reviews the final plan for adequacy as a compelling presentation to the international investors and lenders. Eventually, he searches and identifies the funding sources for that particular project, submits a proposal with appropriate documentation to the potential financiers and assists the client and the financier for the realization and execution of an arms-length financing contract.

 

 Faruk worked at Pasabahce Cam, one of the world’s largest glass manufacturers, as a Market Analyst Assistant responsible for documenting/computing and presenting analysis reports to upper management (2002), Turk Ekonomi Bankasi, Corporate Finance Department, as a Valuation Assistant responsible for appraisal of corporate financial data (2003), and at Oyak Securities, Research Department, as a Research Assistant responsible for the preparation of sectoral reports (2003-2004).

 

 Faruk had his secondary education at American High School in Tarsus. He graduated from Koc University in Istanbul in 2005 and obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration. He was born in 1982, and speaks Turkish (native), English (fluent) and Italian (intermediate).

 
 Nermin Muslum
Business Development and Corporate Finance Officer


Nermin Muslum joined PGI as the Business Development and Corporate Finance Officer in 2006.  Nermin, an MBA Graduate, strongly contributes to the growth of PGI’s business with her excellent educational background, interpersonal skills, high level of energy and insight on economies and markets.

In the area of Business Development, Nermin successfully expands PGI’s client base and its network of financiers, investors and business partners by extensive research, monitoring of the growing sectors and direct communication. In Corporate Finance, she identifies projects, ensures the completeness and readiness of business plans before approaching to investors, performs valuations, issues terms of information exchange and contractual arrangements, and facilitates the negotiations between the parties.

 Nermin worked as a Customer Relations Analyst (2001) at Eczacıbaşı Schwarzkopf, as a Marketing Analyst (2004) at 3M Turkey, and as a Business Development Analyst (2005) at Müjde A.S., the family business, where she gained insight about the FMCG sector in Turkey.  During her school years, Nermin gained exposure to the financial markets when she worked as a trainee in Istanbul Stock Exchange Market and Ata Investment

After her graduation from Istanbul University, Economics Department, she pursued marketing and finance focused MBA program in Koc University. Nermin was born in Istanbul in 1980, and speaks Turkish (native), English (fluent), and German (intermediate).
